Delay-induced resonance suppresses damping-induced unpredictability

Combined effects of the damping and forcing in underdamped time-delayed Duffing oscillator are considered this paper. We analyze generation a certain damping-induced unpredictability, due to gradual suppression interwell oscillations. find minimal amount amplitude right frequency revert effect dissipation, so that oscillations can be restored, for different time delay values. This is achieved by using delay-induced resonance, which replaces one two periodic forcings present vibrational resonance. A discussion terms critical values resonance tame dissipation finally carried out.
